Software introduction

    Though Reason weep, and cry it is thy last.

    ALL the Goods were once driven out by the Ills from that common share which they each had in the affairs of mankind; for the Ills by reason of their numbers had prevailed to possess the earth. The Goods wafted themselves to heaven and asked for a righteous vengeance on their persecutors. They entreated Jupiter that they might no longer be associated with the Ills, as they had nothing in common and could not live together, but were engaged in unceasing warfare; and that an indissoluble law might be laid down for their future protection. Jupiter granted their request and decreed that henceforth the Ills should visit the earth in company with each other, but that the Goods should one by one enter the habitations of men. Hence it arises that Ills abound, for they come not one by one, but in troops, and by no means singly: while the Goods proceed from Jupiter, and are given, not alike to all, but singly, and separately; and one by one to those who are able to discern them.

    The door was open. Beyond, in the dimly lighted room, sat Leslie Moore, with her arms flung out on the table and her head bent upon them. She was weeping horribly--with low, fierce, choking sobs, as if some agony in her soul were trying to tear itself out. An old black dog was sitting by her, his nose resting on his lap, his big doggish eyes full of mute, imploring sympathy and devotion. Anne drew back in dismay. She felt that she could not intermeddle with this bitterness. Her heart ached with a sympathy she might not utter. To go in now would be to shut the door forever on any possible help or friendship. Some instinct warned Anne that the proud, bitter girl would never forgive the one who thus surprised her in her abandonment of despair.
The thing I like most about GrimWar is that the sounds of you beating up ninjas, skeletons, and spiders is visualised.

As in comic books, your taps are turned into "POW!", "BAM!", and "THUMP!". Maybe I'm just easily pleased?

The rest of the game looks alright, too. You're a warrior tasked with cleaning out a wizard's rather large tower. There's an assortment of vicious enemies and traps to deal with, of course.

At the tower's entrance is a merchant who sells you various gear and weapons.

I don't have confirmation of this, but my guess is that you have to try to get up the tower in one go, i.e. without dying. You can amass coins from chests and fallen enemies, and keep hold of them even in death.

    Updated 23rd November, 09:00: This is just a minor tweak but Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions' device-specific iPad version has also dropped overnight to £2.99/$3.99.
Take a look at the game on the App Store here.

Now for the biggest deal of the day – Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. I know, it's a blast from the past but since it's just slashed its price to £2.99, I reckon it's worth a look.

Originally released for the PSP back in 2007, this instalment in the Final Fantasy series is the second based in the world of Ivalice. As a turn-based tactical RPG, you command individual pieces like those in a board game and explore a rich storyline branching off of the original storyline from Final Fantasy Tactics.

After its release on iOS in 2011 it received an overall positive response, averaging around four stars. What makes this such a great deal is that the price sat originally at £10.49/$13.99. Whatever way you look at it, that's a pretty good offer.

My only warning will be that considering Apple's most recent policy on updated games and the like, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions hasn't really been update for a few years. However as it does come from such a huge publisher I reckon it'll be fine.

Grab the game on the App Store here for £2.99/$3.99 while you can.
Android 遊戲下載网
LTGames, the mobile developer responsible for Immortal: Reborn, Idle Knight, and Fury Survivor: Pixel Z, is releasing Stellar Hunter, a roguelike RPG, for iOS and Android devices today.

It’s a space-themed RPG which also features roguelike elements to create more randomised possibilities during play. You play as a space ranger who is exploring the vast universe. You travel from planet to planet, living your legend and making big discoveries. You clear stages by rolling a dice to determine how to get through different situations and experience the story with many uncertainties.

Part of Stellar Hunter’s “upgraded roguelike elements” make the game full of random possibilities, where your luck is just as important as your strategy. Not only are you facing unusual creatures, but also dilemmas as you have to make different choices. Check out this trailer to see more of the game in action.
&#;

Axiom Verge is still coming to PS Vita. Pinky promise.

This is essentially the message that the game's creator Tom Happ gives in a recent blog post. He's hoping it will be ready by the end of the year but there are no guarantees on that.

The original plan was to get the metroidvania out on Sony's handheld this summer. But things went awry.

Mostly, the delay has been caused by Mono never being ported to PS Vita. Happ was relying on this happening so when it didn't he was stuck. Luckily, another solution was found.

Sickhead (the developer of Monogame) started developing a C# to C++ cross compiler. This meant that Axiom Verge (and TowerFall) could be ported to PS Vita but it's a lot of work.
&#;

    &#;
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is set to launch later this week, and we've got some exclusive footage of Aku himself (otherwise known as actor Greg Baldwin) playing the awesome-looking actioner.

Based on Genndy Tartakovsky's beloved Cartoon Network series – and the subsequent Adult Swim resurrection – Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time appears to be a dream come true for long-time fans.

And it's just landed on the App Store.

As you might be able to guess from the name, this is a game that distills empire building into about eight minutes. It's a game for two to five players, and each turn you grab a card from a stack of six.

Cards represent resources, but they also represent actions. You take the action as soon as you pick up the card, and it can mean spreading your empire across the map.

At the start of the year, football fans were very much looking forward to Euro 2020 but with that now postponed – for understandable reasons of course – until 2021, fans have been left without their international football fix. Still, at least the Premier League is set to return soon and my boys Colchester United have secured a playoff spot. Dare I dream of a return to League 1?

Anyway, just because we won't have an international tournament this year, it shouldn't mean that their existence shouldn't be celebrated, at least as far as Sociable Soccer is concerned. By way of commemorating these great tournaments, each player will receive International European players as the first daily reward each week.
Well a little something to improve and build your squad with #sociablesoccer pic.twitter.com/N0dvDzncmv— Caniggia (@CaniggiaCM) June 11, 2020That specifically means the first day of your own personal in-game week, which will be the day you played Sociable Soccer for the first time. The event will be running until 12th July, giving players the opportunity to grab a few International European players between now and its conclusion.
An interview with Jon Hare on Sociable Soccer, Apple Arcade, and how his team made the "best-playing football game on mobile"
Elsewhere in the world of Sociable Soccer, the team are currently hard at work on another update and we'll be sure to let you know what the involves as soon as we learn more. The game's last major update was back in April, where it saw a host of improvements to the matching, defensive AI and the online ranking system.

Sociable Soccer is available now over on Apple Arcade, a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month.
