There's been a few rumours circulating these past couple of weeks, from the change of Nintendo NX's name to the most recent reports of the hybrid's console's announcement. Well, real or not, it's definitely something worth talking about.

Unlike the supposed 'leak' of the Nintendo Duo, the announcement date is long overdue. But Nintendo is as Nintendo does and they love to be frustratingly mysterious, neither confirming nor denying the rumours that have surfaced since the device was teased. I guess we'll have to wait and see if anything comes of it.

According to an article by the Express yesterday we could be looking at an announcement date as soon as this Friday the 21st October. With the supposed release date still rumoured as March 2017 Nintendo had best get a wriggle on and put us all out of our misery.

The Father and His SonsA FARMER placed nets on his newly-sown plowlands and caught a number of Cranes, which came to pick up his seed. With them he trapped a Stork that had fractured his leg in the net and was earnestly beseeching the Farmer to spare his life. "Pray save me, Master," he said, "and let me go free this once. My broken limb should excite your pity. Besides, I am no Crane, I am a Stork, a bird of excellent character; and see how I love and slave for my father and mother. Look too, at my feathers-- they are not the least like those of a Crane." The Farmer laughed aloud and said, "It may be all as you say, I only know this: I have taken you with these robbers, the Cranes, and you must die in their company."

The sizes of the ships vary in size and scale - from shuttles to titans - and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Players will be able to build up and customise their own equipment, as well as arrange fleets and formations ahead of the conflict.

There will also be various combat tasks to undertake, such as survival, rescue, and escort missions.

Galaxy Reavers' art-style is almost of a console or high-end PC quality with its 3D visual effects, yet the UI is completely designed with a touch-screen in mind.

Movement, target attack and skill releasing are all done through finger sliding on screen. Which is quite unique and genuinely impressive.

It looks absolutely fantastic and is coming to iOS later this month with an Android version will follow.

Don't take our word for it though.
Vikings II is PinPin Team's follow up to Vikings: An Archer's Journey, which initially released back in 2016. This time they've teamed up with publisher Plug in Digital to release the game for both iOS and Android, where it's as a free-to-play.

Vikings II is a slight step in a different direction from its predecessor. It's maintained the beautiful storybook art style but it's no longer a side-scrolling action game where you'll be pinging arrows at foes and jumping over obstacles. Instead, it's vertically scrolling and more akin to a bullet hell shooter than the first game.

As you can see in the trailer below, you'll be battling against hordes of enemies whilst firing an impossibly fast volley of arrows. Enemies will be capable of doing the same so you'll need to be adept at dodging whilst killing as many foes as possible to collect different power-ups such as shields, multi-shot buffs or fire damage.

Alongside various weaker enemies, you'll also battles against more powerful foes in boss-type battles. Here you'll face Krakens, Trolls, Vikings, Raiders, Dragons and even Odin himself. There will be multiple Vikings to unlock as you play through the game who will all presumably have different abilities to make use of.

The controls themselves are very straightforward, you simply have to drag around the screen to move your Viking. Shooting is handled automatically and power-ups will automatically trigger once you've picked them up.
