"Oh, I don't know, dearie. I never remember of Captain Jim making up to anybody. He was edging on old as far as my memory goes. He's seventy-six, you know. I never heard any reason for his staying a bachelor, but there must be one, believe ME. He sailed all his life till five years ago, and there's no corner of the earth he hasn't poked his nose into. He and Elizabeth Russell were great cronies, all their lives, but they never had any notion of sweet-hearting. Elizabeth never married, though she had plenty of chances. She was a great beauty when she was young. The year the Prince of Wales came to the Island she was visiting her uncle in Charlottetown and he was a Government official, and so she got invited to the great ball. She was the prettiest girl there, and the Prince danced with her, and all the other women he didn't dance with were furious about it, because their social standing was higher than hers and they said he shouldn't have passed them over. Elizabeth was always very proud of that dance. Mean folks said that was why she never married--she couldn't put up with an ordinary man after dancing with a prince. But that wasn't so. She told me the reason once--it was because she had such a temper that she was afraid she couldn't live peaceably with any man. She HAD an awful temper--she used to have to go upstairs and bite pieces out of her bureau to keep it down by times. But I told her that wasn't any reason for not marrying if she wanted to. There's no reason why we should let the men have a monopoly of temper, is there, Mrs. Blythe, dearie?"

After the monumental success of the past week and a bit, it's hardly surprising to hear that Apple will be giving indie games their own section on the App Store.
Love the games we’ve debuted? Starting today, we’ll have a permanent spot on the App Store just for indie games. https://t.co/M7fhi8kU4D pic.twitter.com/d9Nt98EGvw— App Store Games (@AppStoreGames) March 17, 2017 You guys know where I stand on indie games.
Devolver Digital is back with another mobile port. This time around they're bringing adventure rogue-lite The Swords of Ditto over to Apple Devices. It will be available for iOS on 24th October.

Already available on the Switch, where we reviewed it earlier this year, The Swords of Ditto is an action RPG where you play as numerous adventurers in a relentless fight against Mormo. Each time you die you'll start again as a new hero and the successes and failures of your previous character will affect the next in line.

How you tackle the game is up to you, you can immediately go and find Mormo and try to defeat her if you wish, though it'll likely end in your own demise. Alternatively, you can make use of the limited days you'll have in the game to level up, get new equipment so that you can be as prepared as possible for the final showdown with Mormo.

The cutesy art style of the Swords of Ditto extends to the weapons you can find as well. Alongside your usual sword and bow, you'll also be able to use a vinyl record or a golf club as weapons. To gain new perks and get buffs for your hero you'll have to collect stickers. It's all very wholesome so I hope the game translates well to phones.

Devolver Digital have always been big supporters of mobile. This year alone they've ported Gris over to iOS as well as releasing numerous games specifically for phones. Witcheye and their plethora of Apple Arcade games such as Exit the Gungeon and Cricket Through the Ages show they're committed to the platform. And they publish great games, so it's a wonderful they release so many.

The Swords of Ditto will be available on the App Store on 24th October and you can pre-order now if you'd like. It'll be a premium game that will cost £5.99/$5.99.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
AN ASS feeding in a meadow saw a Wolf approaching to seize him, and immediately pretended to be lame. The Wolf, coming up, inquired the cause of his lameness. The Ass replied that passing through a hedge he had trod with his foot upon a sharp thorn. He requested that the Wolf pull it out, lest when he ate him it should injure his throat. The Wolf consented and lifted up the foot, and was giving his whole mind to the discovery of the thorn, when the Ass, with his heels, kicked his teeth into his mouth and galloped away. The Wolf, being thus fearfully mauled, said, "I am rightly served, for why did I attempt the art of healing, when my father only taught me the trade of a butcher?'What rounds, what bounds, what course, what stop he makes!"

The Laborer and the Snake
In Burn It Down, you are a man searching for his love in what must be the most dangerous mansion ever built.

It's the next game from Tapinator, creator of Balance of the Shaolin, and its follow-up, Endless Balance. Burn It Down is nothing like those two previous games.

It's a black-and-white platformer that gives you an hour to navigate the deadly leaps and spiked floors of your home before, well, whatever it's counting down to happens.

There's a bit of a puzzle element to the platforming as you can only move left and right. There is no jump button. However, the character you control will jump automatically over gaps if he has enough speed.

This means that you spend most of your time working out how much of a run-up you need. Then you have to measure the timing of your run-up to avoid the up-and-down routines of spikes.

It continues this way, giving you less room for error as you attempt to safely pass through the level.
