&#;"Charlotta the Fourth may come with them. She sent word by Paul that she would come if her husband would let her. I wonder if she still wears those enormous blue bows, and whether her husband calls her Charlotta or Leonora. I should love to have Charlotta at my wedding. Charlotta and I were at a wedding long syne. They expect to be at Echo Lodge next week. Then there are Phil and the Reverend Jo----"

Niantic has released a statement that reveals that online battles will finally be heading to Pokemon Go in early 2020 in a new feature called Go Battle League. The details are fairly threadbare at the moment but they said they'll be sharing more details in a Dev Insights video soon.

Go Battle League will apparently build upon the Trainer Battles that currently exist within the game. Players will be able to battle people from around the world via an online matching system. As it's a league, winning will net you some kind of points that will allow you to increase your ranking.

But, in an attempt to remain loyal to the ethos of Pokemon Go, players won't be able to just lay in bed and take on opponents from the other side of the globe. The statement says that players will have to do a bit of walking to be able to enter the Go Battle League.

The statement also says they want to make the battling experience both more accessible and competitive. To me, this suggests that the walking aspect may only exist to ensure players are still getting out and about and may literally be a number of steps rather than having to find a location you can do the battles from.

This would be of great benefit to players who live in areas with very few PokeStops or Gyms. If they can just go for a quick walk around the block and then have access to online battles then they'd be able to get a lot more out of a game that currently doesn't do a lot for them. Time will tell exactly what these entry requirements will be though.

Pokemon Go is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
Solo game creator Martin Magni tells me that Odd Bot Out is coming to iOS and Android on February 1st.

It has you helping an adorable robot called Odd break out of a recycling plant it was chucked into.

Odd is a little shorter than the rest of the robots, you see, not quite meeting the factory requirements.

But, no matter, it has you to help it along. You'll build rockets, construct staircases and bridges, and engineer cars and robotic centipedes for Odd to ride.

Another new week has rolled around, and our mission to make sure you're only playing the best mobile games continues. Everyday we tell you about an amazing game we think you should be playing - there are bonafide classics, hidden gems you might have missed, and everything in between. We know mobile gaming better than anyone, so let's just put it this way - there ain't gonna be no duds in our #gameoftheday content.

Speaking of which, if you click here you can check out every game that's won this prestigious award at our #gameoftheday hub. We can pretty much guaranteed that you're going to find something amazing you haven't played there.

Today's pick is a smart puzzler that goes by the name of One More Button. We'll get to that in a minute, but if you click right here you can check out the best opinion on the best new games in our reviews section. We definitely reckon you should but, if we're being honest, we're pretty biased, so we'll leave it up to you.One More ButtonTouch screen controls have always been a bone of contention, but One More Button uses them to its strength. There are no floating buttons here - instead the mechanical parts of the game are built into its design. The buttons are, quite literally, part of the play area here, and that makes things really interesting.

You need to move the buttons around, push them out of your way, all the while using them to get around. You can only use the buttons available on each level, so even when things look simple, there's going to be a twist that's going to creep up on you and leave you figuring out a better solution.

Whether you like playing with others or questing alone, there’s something here for everybody. Create the character that’s perfect for you, and customise them further the higher you level up. These tough allies each have their own unique abilities for you to master in battle.

Onmyoji pairs its stunning 3D graphics and presentation with an all-star cast of famed anime voice actors, including cast members from Full Metal Alchemist and Attack on Titan. Plus, the game boasts a sweeping soundtrack from Shigeru Umebayashi, who’s written the musical scores for a number of popular films, including House of the Flying Daggers.

You can play Onmyoji right now on iOS and Android.

We've been very excited for Battlezone here at Pocket Gamer, party because it looks exciting but also because robotic neon future-tanks sounds like every game I wanted as an 8 year old.

Battlezone will be bringing a dynamic campaign that according to the press release "blends procedural and randomised content" but what this means in reality is that no two campaigns should play out the same way.

The campaign map is fought out over a series of hexes and will bring together dozens of environments, levels and mission types in new combinations, some of which you can see in the below trailer.

CEO Jason Kingsley thinks Battlezone could offer something unique in the VR arena: “I think VR has an unfair reputation for just offering cool bitesize experiences, but we want to come out firing and deliver the kind of substantial content early-adopters are crying out for.”
THE DOLPHINS and Whales waged a fierce war with each other. When the battle was at its height, a Sprat lifted its head out of the waves and said that he would reconcile their differences if they would accept him as an umpire. One of the Dolphins replied, "We would far rather be destroyed in our battle with each other than admit any interference from you in our affairs."
