When Google announced Daydream during their annual I/O keynote on Tuesday, the company announced they were working with two big third-party game studios, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, to make games for the new platform.

Yesterday they added a third name to the list: Epic Games. Epic's powerful game engine, Unreal Engine 4, will be coming to Daydream, ensuring developers can easily port their existing apps to the VR platform without too much work.

This plugin comes from a collaboration between Epic, Google and Hardsuit labs.

More importantly, from today applications in Unreal Engine 4 will also join the Google Cardboard app library. If you're running an app and it's not on a Daydream qualified device, it'll drop back to "Cardboard-level support".

This is great news for the hundreds of thousands of Cardboard-ready devices that aren't quite ready for Daydream, and that audience isn't likely to away any time soon, with Daydream-certified devices bound to be outnumbered by their lower specification cousins for a long while.

This is also means people can develop for Cardboard, which is a big step forwards for the free headset. You can pick up the UE4 plugin from Github now.
"Just think of it," he said, "the old sailor right there in a real printed book. This is the proudest day of my life. I'm like to bust, girls. There'll be no sleep for me tonight. I'll read my book clean through
1、
Following the recent announcement, The Chinese Room has now released Little Orpheus' ninth episode. It's called A Rush of Onion to the Head and sees the main protagonist Ivan Ivanovic in yet another crazy situation.

This time around, Ivan finds himself in the mythical city of Perun, a city once known for its stunning vistas. However, these have now been ruined by pollution. But we're not talking from cars, fossils and the like. No, this pollution stems from a twenty-foot tall clone of our hero, Ivan.

Given that a giant version of his likeness threatens this once beautiful city, it'll be up to Ivan to story everything out. To do so, he'll need to make use of the gusty winds that are prominent in Perun to reach his only hope of defeating his oversized close, a flying mechanical fish capable of shooting onions.

In addition to adding a feature-length episode for players to enjoy, the latest update all adds a bunch of new content for The Lost Recordings collectable mode too. This initially arrived in October and lets players discover concept art, new music and over 100 lines of dialogue.
Little Orpheus review - "A cinematic platformer with a seemingly inconceivable story"
Discussing the latest episode Dan Pinchbeck, Creative Director at The Chinese Room said: “Ivan’s return journey from the centre of the earth was alluded to at the end of the original release last year, but it really needs to be seen to be believed. We wanted to give this final chapter time and attention it deserved, and we’re excited it’s finally out there for players to enjoy.”

Little Orpheus is available now over on Apple Arcade, a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month. 2、The Lion and the Eagle拿回神奇裤子汉化破解版（十八汉化组）(mod) MOD APK
It's well-known that Apple's approval system for its App Store is inconsistent. It can also be daft.

But the reason as to why Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager was rejected by Apple is outright absurd.

According to Pocket Tactics's Owen Faraday, who visited the Slitherine studios recently, Apple rejected Space Program Manager as it "contains well-known third parties."

To clarify: the game was rejected due to it featuring astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who helped in the making of the game. Yes, he is actively involved in its making.
Play nice
We know that Apple is touchy when it comes to real people, companies, and countries being depicted in games. The reason for this is revealed in its App Store guideline 14.1.

It reads: "Any App that is defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited, or likely to place the targeted individual or group in harm's way will be rejected."

That's quite sensible thinking even if it restricts some creativity, and Apple recently used it to reject a game that satirized North Korea's Kim Jong-Un (before accepting it a little later on).

But this ruling shouldn't apply to Space Program Manager.

As said, Buzz Aldrin is officially part of the game's development and has put his name to it. He's not a third party to the game. He's at its centre, so the reason that Apple gave doesn't add up at all.

Buzz killSlitherine's Iain McNeil told Pocket Tactics that the studio "thought [it was] pretty safe this time," as Space Program Manager one of the few Slitherine games that doesn't feature violence.

McNeil's trepidation around Apple's reaction to violent games is well-founded.

Only a couple of weeks ago the company decided that it suddenly didn't want any images of guns being used in a threatening manner on the App Store.

As we found out last week, this has been a big inconvenience for studios making shooters especially.

And now we have this news of Apple rejecting Space Program Manager for this nonsensical reason. Sigh.

Hopefully, Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager will be out on iOS and Android soon.
Pocket Tactics
